Linguistic functions are based on the multiplicity of language roles in the communication process, as they reveal the manner in which discourse is organized according to its various purposes and contexts, and their manifestations are determined by the nature of the relationship between the sender, the receiver, and the message. This vision has been adopted in the communicative approach to language, making linguistic functions a means of analyzing discourse and uncovering the expressive and semantic dimensions contained within its communicative structure. The research aims to analyze the manifestations of linguistic functions in Surah Al-Imran according to Jakobson's communicative theory, relying on the descriptive-analytical method. The results showed that Surah Al-Imran encompasses the six linguistic functions identified by Roman Jakobson; the expressive function was associated with supplication, praise, promise, and threat, and the persuasive function with the styles of command, prohibition, and argumentation, while the poetic function was embodied in the characteristics of the Qur'anic composition and its included figurative images and rhythmic harmony. The phatic function was also present in vocatives and alerting styles, and the referential function in presenting doctrinal and historical facts, while the metalingual function was manifested in interpreting concepts and clarifying their significations.
